We have been using A D Builders for approximately twenty years, through several renovations. We have used him on our family home, rental property, mother in law's, and friends. Feedback has been unfailingly excellent.
Andy first was introduced to us when we had had a dispute with a previous builder, and were a bit wary. Fortunately Andy was that excellent combination of working to a high standard, but understanding that time and money are not endless for his clients, and just got the job done.
He has done a complete home renovation, a basement excavation and build, retaining work, garage build, and general repairs for us. With the age of our property, nothing is straight, yet Andy has always found a way to make it work.
As a person to deal with, he has been totally trustworthy, and we know that he just does what is needed, and if there are issues, he will tell you, and likely have a fix for you. We had Andy redevelop our kitchen and bathroom. It required removing an internal wall, adding a patio door, adding new windows, a new kitchen and renovating a bathroom.
We were very impressed with Andy even at the quoting stage. An extra beam needed to be added for the patio door and Andy suggested a more modern lighter wood beam as opposed to a steel beam which had been suggested by another company which quoted for the work. This saved costs and time.
Andy also made other useful suggestions during the build such as narrowing the existing chimney breast (to make it more central in the room) and altering existing cupboards.
Overall Andy and his team did a fabulous quality job and we are very pleased with the results. He is a great communicator and always turned up when he said he would.
Would be very happy to recommend and will certainly use Andy again when we have another project.
